"I Always Had Pads with Me": A G.I. Artist's Sketchpad, 1943-1944

"The home of one of our distinguished personnel."
This was Private Roger B___'s home away from home in Tufo in March 1944. He built it out of all kinds of junk, covered with canvas and logs. He settled in for a while. A direct hit destroyed it and he went deaf. I guess he got upset. He was evacuated.
